V1.7 firmware overview
The latest development from Allen & Heath for their flagship dLive Mixing System, is the release of dLive V1.7 firmware, code named Sennen. The update features support for Shure Axient® Digital, ULX-D® and QLX-D™ wireless systems, extended dLive routing and patching capabilities, and support for the soon to be available PRIME I/O modules.
Shure and Allen & Heath Collaboration
In a joint collaboration between Shure and Allen & Heath the V1.7 firmware enables the monitoring and controlling of up to 45 Axient® Digital, ULX-D® and QLX-D™ wireless systems from the dLive surface.
Mutes, signal levels and battery levels are visible from Bank screens, so multiple channels can be monitored at the same time, with more detailed information being accessed via the Preamp tab on an individual wireless channel.
Receiver gain and mutes can also be controlled on the dLive touchscreen or via the dLive Director software running on a laptop.
Additional Routing and Patching
In addition to the already flexible dLive routing and patching options, the following are now available in V1.7.
- Inputs can now be routed direct to Matrices.
- Mixes can be patched to PAFL External Input and Vice Versa.
- Mixes can also be patched to inputs.
PRIME I/O Modules support
The recently announced PRIME Input and Output modules are designed to use the full potential of the dLive’s 96kHz XCVI FPGA core. They are designed to be used for critical live, broadcast and studio applications. V1.7 adds support for these soon to be released new modules.
