Had the honour of meeting Sir Cliff Richard last night, at a special event celebrating the opening of Wimbledon 2014, which was held at the the British Consular Residence in NYC. Sir Cliff brought along his guitar and gave everyone a memorable three song performance, with many interesting and funny anecdotes. As he launched into “Living Doll”, “Move It” and finally “Congratulations”, it became immediately apparent why Sir Cliff has been a fixture in British Music and popular culture, for five decades. A unique evening, and a foretaste of the treat that’s in store for those going to his show this evening – 21st June 2014 – at The Gramercy Theater, here in New York.
